Authorities are searching for a female lion that escaped from the Kruger National Park’s Mpumalanga wing into the Matsulu community.
The spokesperson for the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA), Simphiwe Shungube, said the animal escaped on Friday and killed a cow on a nearby farm.
“The lion was spotted in the Endumbeni section on Friday night. We immediately dispatched teams to the area to start searching for it, with no luck,” he said.
