Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus said the measured injection of four debutants in Saturday’s 41-13 win over Wales in London is a nice situation for them to have as a team and coaches.

Erasmus fielded two starting debutants in Jordan Hendrikse at flyhalf and Edwill van der Merwe at wing, with Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu and Ben-Jason Dixon at flyhalf and flank, respectively.

Erasmus said he couldn’t risk throwing on a raft of debutants like he did in the corresponding fixture six years ago where 13 Test caps were handed out.
