The security agencies and spies have been hired by the security agencies to disperse the marches to express their displeasure with the people who are in the country illegally so that violence does not end and riots happen in 2021.
This was revealed by President Cyril Ramaphosa’s spokesperson yesterday, Mr. Vincent Magwenya, at a press conference in Cape Town. He said Ramaphosa receives advice almost always from the security forces about these marches.
“They must be vigilant so that the incident of July 2021 does not end up happening again, where property was destroyed and goods stolen from shops. Law enforcement has been assigned to monitor what is happening. The police unit that monitors the riots as well as the intelligence in this country has been strengthened since the 2021 riots happened,” said Magwenya.
A lot of damage was caused to the country’s economy and a lot of people died in the 2021 riots, especially in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng. Recently, there has been an increase in marches led by disgruntled public activists as yesterday in Durban there was a flood of marches to the Point, which is one of the areas where immigrants in the city are full.
Magwenya also dismissed the claim that the people of this country have hatred towards immigrants.
“The President had talks with the president of Mozambique, Mr Daniel Chapo, assured him that the people of this country are warm and do not hate foreigners. The thing that needs to be discussed is why people from other countries leave their countries and go to other countries. This discussion must be for all Africans,” he said.
He pointed out that the people of this country have complaints about crime, some of which are committed by people in this country illegally. He said the people of this country have the right to march which is in the Constitution of the country.
“The President appealed to the people of other countries in this country to respect the laws of the country. We also respect the law, so they must do the same.”
Magwenya also revealed that Ramaphosa has no problem meeting the former president of the country, Jacob Zuma. There is widespread talk that Ramaphosa may meet with Zuma, who now leads the MKP party.
“Zuma and Ramaphosa are not enemies. They have different political views, but they are not enemies. They meet, they met recently in Swat, when they enjoyed each other it was good,” said Magwenya.
He said that if they meet, it will not be that enemies meet.
“Zuma was the president of the country. He can meet with Ramaphosa at any time because he has the right to do this. Ramaphosa meets with other former presidents including Mr. Thabo Mbeki. They meet at ANC meetings and talk.”
He also commented on Ramaphosa’s trip to Zimbabwe recently.
“Ramaphosa went to Zimbabwe because he was invited by the President there. He did not know that in the group of people who came to Zimbabwe, there is a man wanted by the law enforcement in this country. He does not know this man and he has instructed the law enforcement to continue their work without fear. There is nothing more than what he went to Zimbabwe,” he said.
