The president of the ANC, Cyril Ramaphosa, explained what he meant in a leaked audio recording, in which he was heard saying the ANC must deal with negative media reporting.

“No, I am not annoyed with the media. I love you as the media very, very much, and I love spending time with you when you can make the time. What I would like the media to look at is balanced reporting,” he said on Friday.

Ramaphosa was addressing the media shortly after an election campaign in Botshabelo, in the Free State.
