Rachel Kolisi, a South African media personality and wife to local rugby star Siya Kolisi, recently inspired moms worldwide to get their kids moving after she shared an Instagram post of her and her daughter Keziah in the gym.

Rachel, a seasoned gym bunny, revealed that she has been taking seven-year-old Keziah to the gym ever since she was only five months old. Baby Keziah got off to a slow start as her mom’s gym buddy, and she is now lifting weights and doing squats almost as well as her mom.

Proud as ever, Rachel captioned the series of snaps and clips, “Kez has been coming with me to workout since she was 5 months old…. We did a workout at @fitfreak_training this morning!”

The mom also shared how the school holidays always make things a little hectic when finding ways to protect the little ones from the perils of boredom at home.

“School holidays [are] always an interesting juggle,” she shared.

In the comment section, some women shared how they could relate to little Keziah’s after-gym-face while others lauded Rachel for being such a great example to her kids.

One app user wrote, “Setting great examples about looking after yourself – mentally and physically.”

For moms who want to follow in Rachel’s footsteps and keep their little ones active or have nowhere else to take the kids while they go to the gym, several local gyms offer facilities that cater specifically to kids.Virgin Active’s Club V, a “safe space for the kids to move and play,” offers parents peace of mind while they get their workouts in.

The club is open to kids from toddler stages to age 13 and starts from R99 a month, depending on which club you choose.
