Proteas white-ball coach Rob Walter said the ‘choker’ tag will, unfortunately, hang around their necks until they win an International Cricket Council tournament, regardless of how bravely they perform in playoff games.

The Proteas finally broke their World Cup semi-final duck at the T20 World Cup where they made the final that they lost by seven runs against India in Barbados on Saturday.

However, it was a game, much like last year’s semi-final against Australia in Kolkata, where a slow start cost them in the long run.
