Proteas T20 captain Aiden Markram says it is normal for them to feel anxious and nervous ahead of Thursday’s T20 World Cup semi-final against Afghanistan in Tarouba.

The Proteas have already shredded plenty of nerves in their seven consecutive wins through the tournament.

They won all four group stage games, having had to fight tooth and nail across the three fixtures in New York and the one in Kingstown, where they weren’t given a quarter and didn’t expect one in return.
