FirstRand-owned FNB has confirmed that it has frozen outgoing payments for the bank accounts of former President Jacob Zuma.
The bank, in response to questions from News24, said it was acting in terms of an order issued by the Pietermaritzburg High Court and served on FNB on 29 February.
“FNB was instructed by the high court to place a hold on outgoing payments from former President Zuma’s FNB accounts,” the lender said in a response to questions.
