The year 2024 was already slated to be the busiest one for elections in recorded history, but has surpassed expectations with a series of unexpected results. The groundwork for this shift was laid in December 2023, with the inauguration of Javier Milei as Argentina’s president. Milei, a self-described “Anarcho-Capitalist,” has advocated for minimal state intervention and fiscal conservatism.

His radical approach has already yielded results: Argentina recorded its first week without inflation in over three decades in June 2024.
