South Africa’s standing in Africa has no doubt improved in the wake of a peaceful transition to coalition politics – just as instability grows north of our borders. 

For a long time, South Africa was considered the ‘gateway to Africa’ for global companies and investors that wanted in on the next big growth story. Our strong institutions, robust financial services sector, and good infrastructure made us the obvious entry point for a multinational with African aspirations.
