ActionSA leader Herman Mashaba cautioned Multi-Party Charter (MPC) ally DA leader John Steenhuisen to respect the Constitution and let voters decide who should govern.

During the inaugural News24 Leaders Debate, the DA’s comments about smaller political parties contesting in the Western Cape reached fever pitch.

It came on the back of Steenhuisen labelling smaller parties as “popcorn parties” and “political mercenaries”.
