Bellarmine Mugabe, the son of the former president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, and his co-accused, Tobias Matondzhe, are yet to be remanded in custody as the investigation into their attempted murder continues.
The pair appeared briefly in the Alexandra Magistrates Court on Monday.
They are facing multiple charges related to the shooting of a worker at Mugabe’s home in Hyde Park last week.
The charges stem from the shooting of a 23-year-old worker at Hyde Park, who was left in critical condition.
The gun suspected to have been used has not been found, Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed that a shell was found at the scene of the incident. However, despite investigations by police K9 and forensics teams, the gun suspected to have been used in the incident has not been found.
The case was adjourned to March 3, where the defendants will apply for bail and both suspects will be kept in custody.
