The mother of a wheelchair-bound teenager has been arrested on charges of murder after her son was found decapitated at a tavern in Leshikishiki village in Limpopo.
Provincial police commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe said the 48-year-old woman was arrested on Friday after police received the call at around 13:00.
“Upon arrival of the police at the scene next to a local tavern, they found the decapitated body of an 18-year-old man lying on his wheelchair and his head on the ground. Shockingly, there were no people found on the scene,” a police statement said on Saturday.
