The South African Weather Service predicts fine and cool to warm conditions in multiple provinces.

Impact-based warnings

A Yellow Level 2 warning for wind and waves, resulting in difficulty in navigation at sea, is expected between Cape Columbine and Cape Agulhas on Monday.

Fire danger warnings

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the eastern parts of the Northern Cape, the western and southern parts of the North West, the central and the extreme north-eastern parts of the Free State and the Beaufort West Municipality.

Advisories

A series of cold fronts is expected to affect the Western and Northern Cape, with very cold conditions on Tuesday, spreading into the Eastern Cape on Wednesday and persisting into Thursday.

The public and small stock farmers are advised that heavy downpours are possible over the south-western parts of the Western Cape on Wednesday, snowfalls over the mountains of the Western Cape, the south-western high ground of the Northern Cape and the mountains of the Eastern Cape.

There will be strong to gale force winds over the interior as well as coastal winds, associated with very rough seas, can be expected.

Fine and cool to warm temperatures are expected in Gauteng.

Mpumalanga will be fine and warm, but hot in the Lowveld.

It will be windy over the southern Highveld.

It will be fine and warm, but hot in the southern Lowveld of Limpopo.

The North West will experience fine, windy and warm to hot temperatures.

Fine, windy and cool to warm conditions can be expected in the Free State.

In the Northern Cape it will be cloudy, with morning fog patches in the south-west, otherwise it will be fine and cool to warm over the southern parts.

It will be partly cloudy and cool to cold in the south-west of the Western Cape, with isolated showers and rain, but scattered over the far south-west.

The expected UVB sunburn index is low.

The western half of the Eastern Cape will be fine, windy and warm, but cool along the coast.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh south-westerly.

It will be fine, windy and warm in the eastern half of the province. 

The wind along the coast will be light and variable.

Fine and warm, but hot temperatures are expected in the north-east of KwaZulu-Natal.

The wind along the coast will be a moderate to fresh northerly to north-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is very high.
