DESPITE being the confidant of his player, Siyanda “Skhwishi” Ndlovu, he is linked with the big teams in Gauteng but the coach of Lamontville Golden Arrows, Manqoba Mngqithi, believes that he deserves more than “getting on the bus to Johannesburg.”

Ndlovu (22) who is in good form this season, it turns out that he has been attacked by Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Mngqithi said that at the moment he is still taking it as just rumors from the media about Ndlovu being considered by these Gauteng groups, as there is nothing concrete.

“It is always more difficult than any coach to deal with the situation of having a player wanted by the big teams in Gauteng, because it differs from player to player on how to take that. Another player says that he just feels that there is a team that wants him and he sees himself when he is big, and he is no longer under control,” said Mngqithi.

“But Squishi is very different from those players because he is a humble boy who is eager to learn and grow all the time, who bothers to become a better player.

In all that, most of these statements that he is wanted by certain teams are not true because usually these teams like to talk to the media with the aim of influencing the mind of the player. In fact, at the moment I can assure you that there is nothing concrete about these talks, they are still just rumors in the media.”

The right winger who hails from Doornkop, Mphongolweni, Dannhauser, has scored four goals, with seven assists in 20 games in all competitions this season.

“He is a young player who works very hard, which is always a pleasure for me as a coach to work with him. So what I can say unequivocally is that I don’t have the slightest problem with him (Ndlovu) right now. I don’t think he will be disturbed by the talk that there are groups that want him because he has bigger ambitions than people think. “You know you deserve better than taking a bus to Johannesburg,” said Mngqithi.

The Arrows will clash with Stellenbosch FC in the Nedbank Cup Last 16 at King Zwelithini Stadium in Mlaza, on Saturday, at 6 pm.
