The Miss South Africa organisation announced its Top 16 contestants during the first episode of Crown Chasers, which aired on Saturday, 29 June, on SABC 3.
It stirred significant online debate on Twitter (formerly known as X). Online users raised an issue surrounding the nationality of Chidinmna Adetshina, 23, of Pimville, Soweto.
According to her profile on the Miss SA website, she plays netball, studies law at Varsity College, and is a model.
