A 41-year old man, who abducted and murdered North-West University (NWU) student Karabo Maluleke, 21, was on Monday sentenced to life imprisonment and an additional 10 years.

The Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg sentenced Tinyiko Baloyi, who was in a relationship with the student, for kidnapping and murder.

Maluleke went missing on 27 May 2023.
