A Cape Town debt collector turned security specialist testified that he collected between R400 000 and R600 000 in sales of illegal steroids for so-called steroid king Brian Weinstein every month before Weinstein was murdered.

Mr X told the Western Cape High Court that he first met Weinstein at the “steroid king’s” Bliss Boutique Hotel when he was looking for extra work.

Testifying in the murder trial of Mark Lifman, Jerome Booysen, Andre Naude and others, Mr X said he asked co-accused Sam Farquharson if he knew of any extra work for him and his brother. Farquharson introduced them to Weinstein.
