Comedy duo Joe Barber have announced more dates in Cape Town as part of their 25th anniversary run of shows.

Audiences can now book tickets for 16 and 17 October; tickets are on sale now, starting from R195 at Ticketmaster.

Previously, there were only shows on 18 October and 19 October, at GrandWest in Cape Town.

A description for the production reads:

Joe Barber follows the adventures and anecdotes of Boeta Joe and Boeta Gamat at a much-loved local barber shop, and also features the popular characters of Washiela and Outjie. The shows are created, written by and star Oscar Petersen and David Isaacs.

“The thought of doing a show for 25 years leaves me with a feeling of disbelief,” David Isaacs tells News24. “It’s like a dream and just like a dream it happens so fast. It’s over and here we are.”

“It feels like just the other day we started and we were meant to do the show for four weeks only,” he adds.

“We appreciate our audience for walking with us for 25 years… I mean, that takes a lot to walk with people for 25 years,” he continues.

“We’re looking back in the show, 25 years, but we’re excited for the future.

“The show is also gonna be packed with some nostalgia and some new surprises and guest artists and so on. It’s gonna be very lekker. We’re very excited.”
