One of the kidnappers who abducted Jose Manuel Dias Roda allegedly used his credit card to buy alcohol in the vicinity where the hostage was being kept.
After seven harrowing days in captivity, Roda was rescued and reunited with his family.
He was kidnapped from a franchised Waltloo butchery in Southdale, south of Johannesburg.
