DOING things without the carelessness of the IFP leadership, is one of the things that attracted the one who abandoned MKP, Dr. Bongani Mncwango, to this group.

Mncwango, who was officially announced as a member of the IFP yesterday, revealed that there were many groups that were interested in him. He said this while talking to the media. Mncwango, who was the general secretary of the MKP, revealed that he ended up choosing the IFP from the four groups that wanted him for work.

“I chose to give the IFP a chance to these young men who courted me because of its history. The IFP is 51 years old and there is stability in it. Its leaders are intellectually mature. Things in the IFP are not done lightly, you think twice before you do something in the IFP. What I like about the IFP is that it has the opportunity to grow.”

Mncwango was removed from the position of MKP secretary general last month and he had been in this position for less than seven months. He did not want to expand too much, which made him leave MKP.

He said that when a person joins a group, there is an idea that is promised to them.

“If the party leaders are the ones who no longer follow that idea, then you have to decide whether you stay or leave.”

Mncwango’s hands were shaking when he was introduced, and he reprimanded the slogans of the IFP. IFP leader, Mr. Velenkosini Hlabisa, said they caught a big fish.

“Today is a special day. On behalf of the IFP, we welcome him with open arms and open hearts. We are very humbled to be joined by Mcwango who has extensive experience as he has been a senior executive in private companies that work to protect the public. He has extensive experience in management. We know that there are many who will follow you, who believe in you. IFP is a home for all people. That is why we always open the gates.”

Hlabisa said that Mncwango has not been promised any position.

Hlabisa said that Mncwango’s experience will help in growing the party as well as in the campaign for the upcoming local government elections, he said that they want to win many municipalities in the upcoming elections.

“When the 2021 local government elections came, we said that we want to win a lot of municipalities. People say that we are deceiving ourselves. There are still a lot of municipalities that we want to win. There are municipalities that are managed jointly that we want to win and we want to continue the victory of the municipalities that we are in charge of. Our performance is very good as we won many wards in the recent by-election.”
