A vehicle transporting stairs crashed into the wing of a FlySafair aircraft at the Cape Town International Airport on Monday.
The Airports Company of South Africa (Acsa) said response teams immediately responded to the incident after the vehicle collided with the Boeing 737-800’s wing.
“The area has been secured in accordance with standard security procedures.” According to Acsa, operations at the airport were not affected by the incident.
According to reports, the incident led to a minor fuel leak.
The airport said in a statement that no injuries were reported and that flights continued normally.
“The incident is being investigated.”
