We are getting excited about the launch of the new car company CAUR following its confirmation of the models it will launch.
iCAUR is a subsidiary of Chery Group that specializes in electric SUVs.
It has confirmed that its first V23 car will arrive in May, in two variants. There are two-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
The two-wheel drive has a 60kWh battery and a single electric motor. They claim that charging it from a DC charger takes 36 minutes from 20% to 80%.
The all-wheel drive has a larger 82kWh battery and two engines.
They say it takes 40 minutes to reach 80% if you charge it at a fast place.
Apart from the differences in battery specifications, the other differences are the rims. Two-wheel drive treads on wheels with 19-inch rims and one with 21-inch rims.
Inside they have leather seats, 15.4 inch touchscreen infotainment, seven speakers and more.
It has adaptive cruise control, it tells you when you are leaving the lane, it warns you if you are about to crash in front and so on.
Shannon Gahagan who is the marketing officer at iCAUR South Africa, said that the V23 means an important step for them.
He said that it comes with modern technology, the way it looks different, the power and more that they see will be appreciated by the people of this country.
