After years of waiting, the Western Cape High Court trial of Nafiz Modack and 14 others implicated in a 124-count murder and racketeering case finally began on Monday.
Keerom Street outside the court in the Cape Town CBD was triple parked with police cars and Anti-Gang Unit (AGU) police vans, and the armoured truck that brings Modack from “the bush” – which he calls Helderstroom Prison in Caledon.
