COACH of Stellenbosch FC, Gavin Hunt, has criticized the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for not standing up in the same way when its teams need it, especially regarding the registration of new players.

Hunt said this to SuperSport when he was asked about his new player Olisa Ndah who recently joined them from Orlando Pirates. This coach who has previously worked for Chiefs was speaking before the Betway Premiership match against Amakhosi on Tuesday night at FNB Stadium, Nasrec.

“There are things that we have learned not to worry about because the PSL does not stand up in the same way when the teams under it need it to quickly register new players. For some groups things happen easily but for others it takes time when it is clear that there is no need,” said Hunt without guessing.

Since December, Stellies has strengthened its squad with experienced players including Mosa Lebusa who played for Mamelodi Sundowns, Wayde Jooste who was dismissed by MaZulu at the end of last season and Tshegofatso Mabasa who played for Pirates. Hunt is counting on these players to help his side move away from the bottom of the log as they are focused on the Premiership following their exclusion from the Caf Confederation Cup.
