Commissioner of @TheBMA_SA , Dr Michael Masiapato, confirmed on Wednesday, border controls successfully transferred 933 Mozambican citizens from South Africa to Mozambique through the Lebombo border.

Out of 933 people, 349 came out of the Lindela Holding Facility program and were relocated by the Ministry of Home Affairs through its deportation program because they did not have documents to stay in the country. The remaining 584 people left Mossel Bay in arrangements led by the High Commission of Mozambique.

Authorities also dealt with undocumented immigrants, immigration status verification, and 17 people who overstayed their visas.

This group consisted of 38 children, whose assistance was overseen by the Ministry of Social Development. A total of 926 were successfully repatriated to Mozambique, while seven were denied travel due to paperwork, immigration status, citizenship verification, or child protection concerns.
