Bafana’s trip to Uyo to face the Super Eagles last week Friday was supposed to be smooth and seamless after the South African Football Association (SAFA) hired a chartered flight to cut down a 20-hour trip to just six hours.
But a series of unfortunate events foiled that plan, with the team’s departure in Johannesburg delayed – which ended up seeing Bafana spend more time travelling than they would have if they flew commercial.
