A Cape Town police officer landed himself in hot water after he posted several video clips on social media, in which he urged Hollywood to give him an acting job, so he could quit the police.

Constable Huram Louw, 49, who is stationed at the Manenberg police station, went on a rant on social media at the weekend.

He accused the police of failing to provide him with a bonus or promotion or providing him with a bursary to study acting to fulfill his dream of becoming an actor.
