History will be made in the taxi industry in the South Beach and North Beach Taxi Association as drivers who seem to do their job well and with dedication will be awarded.
This will happen at a big event to be held at the Coastland Hotel, Musgrave, on April 10. The event will start at 6 pm.
The taxi drivers who are members of this association spoke toOf this country more about this event.
They stated that the main purpose of the event is to highlight all those in the taxi industry in Durban, who are doing well and who seem to be playing a major role in ensuring that everything goes very well in this industry.
Mr. Vusimuzi Msane said that they believe that the time has come for drivers who treat passengers well and who seem to have a deep love for their work to be respected.
He said they believe this will increase the number of drivers who seem to be doing well.
”We believe that this will be something that the drivers are very interested in and will also encourage them in every way. We wish that this would be something that seems to continue every year because it seems that it will be able to bring about a big change in this industry,” he said.
He said that the priority of these awards is to ensure that the relationship between the driver and the passenger is strengthened.
He said that the process of voting for the drivers who will be awarded on the big day is currently underway.
Among the groups present is the driver who passed all by doing his job well, he will be voted by the passengers.
There are a number of drivers who will be voted by other drivers, there are also a number of rank managers, and taxis that seem to be cleaner than others, which will be voted by passengers and others,
Msane said that all those who will be awarded will cry and leave with a certain amount of money.
“There is no doubt that these awards will create a good competition between our drivers,” he explained.
Mr. Sandile Kheswa who is also part of this association said they are very happy that there will be a program like this in the taxi industry.
He said this will lead to a better cooperation between drivers and passengers as he said drivers will have to persuade their passengers to vote for them in order to win.
”If the driver asks the passenger to vote for him, that is the beginning of a good relationship between the two, which we love and wish to continue like that,” he explained.
The number 078 865 32 17 which will be sent to when voting, Kheswa revealed that it will continue to work even after the event. He said it will be used for passengers to voice their complaints.
