President @CyrilRamaphosa joins the people of this country in congratulating Dr Nyaweleni Tshifularo and his team for successfully separating conjoined twins at Mankweng Hospital, Limpopo on January 28, 2026.
Ramaphosa expressed his gratitude to this amazing team led by Professor Tshifularo, who gave their time and expertise to face this difficult challenge.
This project is a milestone in Limpopo and in the public health sector of South Africa. This is the first time in South Africa, a rural hospital has done such a great job.
The most exciting thing is that the children were completely separated and are reported to be in satisfactory condition. Congratulations to the parents and their families, and we wish them a long, healthy, and happy life as they grow older.
