Two top crime fighters linked to the Heidelberg community policing forum were shot at after leaving a strategy meeting at a restaurant on Wednesday, leaving one of the men dead.
Flip Minnaar, the chairperson of the Heidelberg community policing forum (CPF), was critically injured in the incident that claimed the life of his colleague Etienne du Preez.
This violent incident, suspected to be a targeted hit, occurred at around 14:20.
