A 42-year-old man, who was often heard fighting with his mother, has been arrested after residents saw him walking with a body in a wheelbarrow in Mamaila village in Tzaneen on Tuesday morning.
The bloodied body turned out to be that of his mother, 69-year-old Mamaila Moloi Matele, said Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba.
Mashaba said police officials had to rescue the man after residents attacked him and he was taken to hospital.
