A man accused of unknowingly taking out a million dollar insurance policy for his brother has been accused of Sigonyela’s bracelets.
It is a country found out that Mr. Senzo Mthandeni Mthethwa (43), has been arrested for a case filed by his brother.
It will be remembered that months ago It is a country reported in detail on this issue where the victim, Mr. Nhlakanipho Mthethwa from Showe, was furious and accused his imprisoned brother of taking out a million dollar insurance policy for him without his knowledge and consent.
Mthethwa (Nhlakanipho) said that he has chosen to file a case against his brother for his actions which he said disgusted him and left him with a lot of money. Since he has just been arrested, he said there is a glimmer of hope that he will get justice for this case in court.
”I want him to stand before the court and explain exactly why he did what he did. I’m so thankful that you finally got arrested. After all, this is not the first time this person has done this to the people here at home,” he said.
Narrating, he revealed that the insurance was taken from Old Mutual in May 2024.
It is a country it has a copy of Old Mutual, which shows that the policy is indeed open. Mthethwa said he found out about this when he went to the Old Mutual branch, he was going to do something and he was going to come across this myth.
“The worker there, when he saw my belongings, asked me if I knew about the million rand insurance that was opened in my name? I told him that I didn’t know. He just gave me the documents to prove that and that it was opened by my brother.”
He said that even when he leaves, he is afraid because he knows that there is someone who is looking forward to benefiting from large sums of money in the event that he passes away. Mthethwa said the act made him think about many things because he knows his brother.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo, confirmed the arrest of the man. He said the police arrested a 43-year-old man and another 48-year-old man, for taking insurance policies for their family members without their knowledge.
”These crimes appear to have happened in Mpangeni and Wentworth separately. The suspects appeared in the Durban Magistrate’s court, they will return on May 19,” he said.
