IT HAS BECOME a custom of different churches that the uniform is completed with badges affixed to the chest with the name of the church and its owner. However, not all churches are able to find those opportunities easily and quickly.

This is how Ms. Andiswa Hlongwane intervenes, through her business Name Tags By Andiswa, which helps by making these tags for brothers of different churches, which helps to complete their uniforms when they are decorated in services and churches. This young lady in terms of age is a Zionist, which is the order for which she usually does this work.

Ms Hlongwane (23), who attends the Bright Catholic Church, said that her business started by paying attention to the fact that if the brothers of different Zionist churches wear uniforms without these symbols, it is not complete and not good enough.

“Even though it is not visible and it is not clear which church that brother serves, especially if we meet in different churches. Then I realized that it could be the way I was working to do business and be useful to those who need them,” he said.

Continuing, he said that when he started this work, he was doing it for the brothers in his church, and the believers did not pay attention to the issue of spells because they did not have complete knowledge because they worship in a rural area where many things are not easily available.

“I was also helped a lot by joining the university Zionist organization ATEZS (Association for Tertiary Zion Students), where I realized that neatness and wearing the uniform properly are prioritized,” said Ms. Hlongwane.

This lady from Sandlwana, Bergville, central KwaZulu-Natal, and who is doing her final year of Bachelor of Food Science and Technology at Durban University of Technology (DUT), revealed that she makes this work from R45 to R70 – depending on the type of dish she makes and how much it needs to be decorated.

“And beyond the Zionists, I am now helping other people who do different jobs who need to be done for these purposes, which has helped me a lot to find clients in Johannesburg, Durban and even the Eastern Cape,” said Ms. Hlongwane.

He said, however, that it is not always pleasant as it happens that sometimes he meets clients who are busy with work, and they become impetuous and angry.

“However, I see that it is a job that I see is going very well, and I wish to continue doing it for a long time until I am finally able to do these things myself as I am currently working with those who have the equipment to do them. I also hope that when I have flourished well, I will add other jobs such as banners, stickers and so on,” he said.
