Germany admits failure to secure UNSC seat likely due to support for Israel | United Nations

For the first time, Germany has failed to win a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council. Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul blamed Russia, but also admitted Germany’s steadfast support for Israel cost it votes.
