If you think the MK Party’s policies are bad, then please don’t dare take a gander at the EFF’s policy manifesto. In fact, some of the EFF policy proposals make the MK Party’s ideas appear altogether sane and rational, writes Garth Theunissen.

The EFF and the MK Party might as well be sourcing their economic doctrine straight from the pages of MAD Magazine.

If you think I’m exaggerating, just spend a few hours reading the manifestos of the two ANC breakaways and you’ll quickly find yourself wondering whether Alfred E. Neuman was appointed as their chief policy advisor. Neuman is, of course, the iconic mascot of the satirical US magazine, MAD, and was often depicted alongside the words: “What, me worry?”
