George Booker stumbled on two of his friends sprawled on the cold pavement in Heidelberg – the one dead, the other is currently in critical condition.
The chairperson of the Heidelberg Community Policing Forum (CPF) in Gauteng, Flip Minnaar, was critically injured in a shooting that claimed the life of his colleague, Etienne du Preez.
Booker, the chairperson of the Bergsig CPF and one of the first respondents to the scene on Wednesday afternoon, said: “I was approaching the scene on the main road without knowing what was happening. When I got to the scene, I saw two people lying on the pavement.”
