The South
African Weather Service has forecast fine and cool to warm
temperatures across the country, but high fire danger conditions are expected
in at least two provinces.

Fire danger conditions

Extremely high fire danger
conditions are expected over the Matzikama and Bergrivier in municipalities in
the Western Cape and Kai !Garib Local Municipality in the Northern Cape.

Fine and cool temperatures are
expected in Gauteng, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The expected UVB sunburn index
is high.

Mpumalanga will have morning fog
patches along the escarpment and southern Highveld. Otherwise, cloudy and cold
to cool conditions are forecast, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

It will be warm on the Lowveld
where drizzle is expected in the morning.

Cloudy and cool to warm
conditions with morning drizzle is expected on the Lowveld of Limpopo,
becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon.

The North West can
expect partly cloudy and cool temperatures, with isolated showers in the west.

Morning fog patches are forecast
in the north-east of the Free State, otherwise partly cloudy and
cool conditions are expected.

The Northern Cape will
be fine and cool to warm but partly cloudy with isolated showers in the
north-east.

It will be windy over the
central parts.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to
fresh easterly to north-easterly.

Fine and cool to warm
temperatures are forecast in the Western Cape.

The wind along the coast will be
light to moderate easterly to north-easterly, but fresh to strong along the west
coast until late morning.

The expected UVB sunburn index
is low.

The Eastern Cape can
expect fine and cool to warm temperatures with morning frost over the northern
high ground.

The wind along the coast will be
moderate easterly.

Partly cloudy conditions are
forecast in KwaZulu-Natal’s north-east with morning fog in
places over the interior. Otherwise, it will be fine and cool.

The wind along the coast will be
light north-westerly at first, otherwise moderate to fresh easterly to
north-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is high.
