Former SA cricket star Roger Telemachus says he and his family have been left devastated and “in so much pain” after his sister was gunned down in Cloetesville, Stellenbosch, on Wednesday morning.

“We are in so much pain. This is not the news we wished to receive at all. My sister was innocently walking to her day job when she was caught in the gang war,” Telemachus told News 24.

The 49-year-old Harlene Meyer, who worked as a nanny, was walking to work when she was caught in the crossfire of a suspected gang shooting.
