Firefighting efforts to extinguish a blaze on Table Mountain, above Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, have entered a third day.
City of Cape Town Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Jermaine Carelse said the fire was still active and that the fire line was clearly visible on Table Mountain.
“The fire is still high up in the Orange Kloof and Fernwood area and far away from properties. The fire on the lower slopes of Kirstenbosch is still inaccessible,” he said.
