A soft hum of prayers was abruptly interrupted when a group of armed men orchestrated an armed robbery at an evening church service at a resort in Pretoria north over the weekend.
“It was absolute hell,” congregant Jabu Msibi, 62, told News24 from his hospital bed at Dr SK Matseke Memorial Hospital in Soweto on Tuesday.
He was part of a group of congregants from Africa Evangelical Church who attended the regional church conference at Lasev Resort on Saturday.
