Again and again in KwaZulu-Natal, officials of the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), will meet with different leaders.

These officials are in a campaign to unite the eyes of different leaders as they are looking at the local government elections on November 4, 2026. Today the officials will meet with the leader of the Shembe church, on the Buhleni side, Mduduzi “Nyazilwezulu” Shembe.

It has not been long since the officials in the province met with the King of the Churches, Misuzulu of Zwelithini.

The IEC statement said that the Chairman of the Commission, Mr. Mosotho Moepya, will meet Nyazi Kwamhlabuyalingana. We said that yesterday the leaders met with the House of Native Leaders in the province.

“On Wednesday, they will meet with the Cabinet. The meeting will be held in Pietermaritzburg,” said the IEC.

We said that these meetings are to bring together different leadership structures, to stabilize the will of the people in this country.

“IEC is strengthening relations with various organizations as it is being looked at in the elections. The Commission has even met with the leaders of political parties.”

The Commission is returning again and again to this province, the report of the research conducted by the commission, revealed that the people of this country have lost hope and are still enthusiastic about the things that affect the elections.

This report revealed that the people of this province are the ones who have lost hope in voting. That is why the officials come back again and again to persuade the leaders to encourage the people to participate in the elections.

After the meeting with the commission officials, Mbube urged the people of the province to vote as the elections are coming up. Another thing people are being urged to do is register to vote next month.

The commission has opened an opportunity on the weekend of June 20 and 21, for people to register to vote. People are now being urged to check where they have registered to vote. They are urged like this because in the upcoming elections, a person votes where he is registered, he cannot vote anywhere because leaders are being chosen to lead the community.
