The Patriotic Alliance (PA) has joined forces with five political parties ahead of the general elections next month in a bid to oust the Democratic Alliance (DA) in the Western Cape.

The party’s leader, Gayton McKenzie, made the announcement during a press briefing on Tuesday about the political parties that have opted not to contest the national and provincial elections.

McKenzie said each of these parties was confirmed in the 2021 municipal elections as influential and having strong community-based constituencies.
