DA leader John Steenhuisen says life in South Africa is worsening because “a coward” is occupying the Union Buildings.
President Cyril Ramaphosa’s office is, however, not too perturbed by Steenhuisen’s comments, adding it expected more of his “pointless, mindless shouting” ahead of the upcoming general elections.
On Monday, Steenhuisen announced the steps his party would take to hold to account under-fire Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande, who is accused of receiving financial kickbacks related to the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS).
