War in Iran

(Photo: Patrick T. Fallon/AFP)

The USA and Israel launched an attack on Iran on Saturday 28 February – exactly a week ago – after weeks of negotiations. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was among others killed in the attacks.

The US claims the attacks are being carried out to permanently halt Iran’s nuclear weapons capabilities. Iran responded by attacking Israel, various US targets in the area, and even neighboring states such as the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait.

Stay up-to-date here on Maroela Media’s coverage of the conflict in the Middle East and especially the effects it has on South Africa.

The ANC has asked the party to remove the sign, apparently arguing that it is humiliating to Panyaza Lesufi, Premier of Gauteng, and tarnishes his good name. However, the DA says nothing this party does can cause more damage to Lesufi’s good name than he does himself.
