THE time we live in today when people are up and down, busy trying to fix their lives, and dealing with many and varied daily tasks – it makes it difficult to focus your mind on one thing.

This is proven by a study done by scientists who revealed that the way people can focus their mind on something has decreased significantly compared to what it was 20 years ago.

Being enslaved in the mind and having a large amount of things that you need to do are some of the things that increase the burden and make people no longer able to do their jobs and what is expected of them in the right way.

However, scientists have revealed that there are many things that people can easily do to help reduce the burden on those things and situations, including preparing tea, and drinking it often – which they say helps to relax and relax your mind.

One of those types of tea that has proven to help is Rooibos, which is a type of tea that does not have caffeine like other types, and it has been shown that the particles found in it and just drinking it often help to reduce the burden on the mind.

Professor Ben Loos from the Faculty of Psychology at Stellenbosch University said that mental fatigue or mental enslavement is very dangerous for the human mind, and it can also make it not work properly.

“That can disturb you so much that it can cause the prefrontal cortex to be disturbed, which is the mental tissue that is responsible for a person being able to focus his mind on something and being able to make a decision correctly. That is why you need to get used to using products like this to help the mind not become too enslaved,” advises Professor Loos.

Continuing, he also revealed that Rooibos also works in different parts of the body to protect the body’s muscles from harming them as years go by from person to person.

“In other countries, this tea helps to keep your mental muscles healthy, and helps support your body to get energy and keep your body muscles working properly which is very important to keep you energetic. When the tea spreads in your body it turns into an energy generator that turns the food we eat into fat, which gives the body and mind the energy it needs to work well,” he said.

Dr Taskeen Docrat of the Department of Health Sciences at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology said that these health particles in tea not only help to protect the muscles of the body, but also help to support important mental chemicals that are responsible for helping your mind remember and learn what is being read.

“You benefit from the fact that your body gets the energy to keep your body healthy and it also reduces the stress you may have on your mind at that time,” she said.

Continuing, he said that the main thing you can’t ignore is that while you are preparing your tea to drink, your body relaxes – as well as your mind as the parasympathetic nervous system, the tissue of your body that helps you calm down, relax and regain strength – opens up to work properly.

“That helps to reduce the hormones that increase anxiety in the body, especially cortisol, which when it is regulated strongly – you feel less stressed and you are able to think properly and without obstacles,” said Dr. Docrat.

He said that although products with caffeine, including different types of coffee and tea, cause a person to be alert and end up making you drink too much, but it is also useful to use especially harmless ones like Rooibos, which can help you reduce and eliminate the burden you are facing mentally.
