It’s been more than a week since the devastating collapse of the multi-storey apartment block at 75 Victoria Road, George left 33 people dead, 62 survivors, and 19 still unaccounted for.
Liatel Developments, the contractor which oversaw construction of the Neo Victoria apartment block, said in a statement that Monday 6 May, the day of the collapse, had become synonymous with “disaster, tragedy and broken hearts”.
“[We] expressed sympathies with the families and the victims of this tragedy and had resources deployed at the disaster site after the disaster occurred,” read the statement.
