South Africa’s biggest labour federation, Cosatu, said it was not consulted about the make-up of the government of national unity (GNU).

This is three weeks after the first signing of the statement of intent by the DA.

Briefing the media following its post central executive committee meeting on Monday, Cosatu’s general secretary Solly Phetoe said the organisation “remains deeply opposed to the neo-liberal policies of the DA”.
