Two of the Shaik brothers have very different views of the ANC’s decision to form a government of national unity (GNU) and working with the DA: Chippy Shaik burned his ANC T-shirt, while Moe Shaik described it as the “ANC at its strategic best”.

In a video, which has gone viral, Chippy Shaik says he has been a member of the ANC for the past 40 years, and was arrested in 1985 and 1987 for opposing the apartheid government.

“I have always voted for the ANC, from the very first democratic election in 1994, until the present election in May 2004 [sic]. I voted African National Congress.
