Two ActionSA party members of the Newcastle Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal are at loggerheads over the alleged abuse of a municipal vehicle, with both accusing the other of using vehicles to “pick up women”.

Controversial municipality chief whip and ActionSA councillor Mzwakhe Mbatha is yet again in the spotlight, after his driver – ActionSA Osizweni sub-region chairperson Sizwe Mokoena – was suspended over the alleged abuse of the municipal vehicle.

In his defence, Mokoena said Mbatha would use the vehicle for his personal movements and would also pick up women.
